Hawaii Weather & Climate

Hawaii lies 2365 kilometres above the equator and as the below chart indicates makes for fabulous weather all year round. Winter in Hawaii is virtually non-existent; due to its tropical climate Hawaii has two main seasons winter (warm) and summer (warmer). The trade winds bring a cooling breeze even in the hottest weather and at the centre of each island in Hawaii you will find mountains, the further you travel inland and start to incline the cooler the temperature will become. When considering Hawaii weather and climate, Spring is the most pleasant season in which to travel, with comfortable warm temperatures and less rainfall. Summer and Winter are popular and can draw crowds especially around Easter and Christmas time.

Surfing in Hawaii is extremely popular and itís not hard to see why, with Hawaii being home to some of the most famous breaks and swells in the world such as Pipeline and Waimea. Unless you are an experienced surfer these waves are not recommended however is still a fantastic place to visit just for the spectacle of surfing. There are numerous surf school operators in Hawaii that will take you to protected swells in which to get your bearings. The best time for surfing in Hawaii is from October to March.
